About the Webinar:

The anticipated increase in incidence and prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) in the U. S. is alarming. According to the Alzheimer’s Association (2015) the number of individuals living with AD is projected to grow to nearly 11-16 million by 2050. Additionally, in 2014, an estimated 15 million family members furnished approximately 17.9 billion hours of care to individuals with AD and other dementias (2015). This webinar examines the experiences of caregivers of family members with dementia and the impact of those experiences on their bereavement responses. The challenges faced by former caregivers as they re-design their lives will also be explored.
